In the summer of 1999, STI Pre-school Bicutan opened its doors to young learners and began the early steps of its beginnings in a spacious lot in a quiet neighborhood. According to its founder, the late Mr. Edgar H. Sarte, when STI entered the field of education, it was with a dream to provide a place for nurturing young learners to help them discover and realize their limitless potential.
The growth of the school did not stop with just having numerous preschool students. There was a high demand from the parents for the school to expand as they wanted their children to continue studying at STI. By school year 2002-2003 the Department of Education granted the school government recognition and full authority to operate the complete Nursery and Kindergarten course and Grades 1 and 2. As a result of this expansion, STI Preschool became STI Academy of Paranaque, and the first batch of enrolees for Grades 1 and 2 students came through the doors. As the years went on the number of students at our school continued to grow larger and thus the demand from parents to expand the years of education that we offered grew as well. As a response to those demands, in the school year 2009-2010 we were given the authority to offer the complete elementary course and in 2014 we were given authority to operate grades seven and eight.
Due to our expansion over the years, it was decided that it was high time for our school to be an independent institution. Thus, STI Academy Paranaque changed its name to one that is close to the school’s vision, mission and ideals and so on February 04, 2015 the name of our school was officially changed St. John Paul II Academy, Inc.
St. John Paul II Academy, Inc. located in Marimar 2 Village, Paranaque started as a school that consisted of one School Directress, seven preschool teachers and three administrative staff who were set on nurturing the heart, the mind and the body that left each child with a solid foundation and a triumphant early education. Today, we are proud to be a school of over 25 teachers, eight administrative staff and over 250 students offering schooling for grades Kinder one to Grade 10.
